The odds are high if you're old enough, that you can vividly remember where you were when President Kennedy was assassinated or when the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed. Earth shaking events leave an indelible mark on our psyches. This author predicts that you will have a similar reaction when First Contact is made with an alien intelligence.
