Greenstone's Promise

Three years have passed since the dramatic journey described in Dolphin Singers, Voyage of the Makai Part 1. Michelle and Jason still feel the strong pull of the romance that started between them, but their reunion at a science fair goes terribly wrong and leaves each confused about the feelings of the other. When Michelle disappears in a squall during a sailboat race off Honolulu, carried off by an eccentric old fisherman named Greenstone, everyone at first thinks her dead. Little do her friends know of the dramas still to come as Jason and the others follow their hunches and then set out once again in the yacht Makai to find her. Ahead lie modern pirates and shipwreck, a desperate ride across the open sea on a kite board, and a promise made by Greenstone that will change the lives of Michelle and Jason forever.
