Leaving a tumultuous past behind, at age 30, Emily Mitchell’s desires are simple: success as an ad exec for a large firm and a life of solitude in a newly purchased luxury condo in Chelsea Towers, located in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. However, a successful, corporate back- stabber soon focuses on her clients in an attempt to steal her accounts. Then, reluctantly, Emily takes in a teenage niece whose Gothic lifestyle and admiration for the writings of Poe, along with attempted resurrections of the dead, lead to several harrowing experiences. Adding to Emily’s torment, wealthy family members living in the condo next door have been dead for three centuries, but exist due to allegiances with Abaddon, Angel of the Bottomless Pit as mentioned in Revelations, Chapter Nine. Even more disturbing, Abaddon has plans for Emily that will eventually lead to her death at the hands of his aging mistress.
