About This Book

A missing goody bag. A new kid to the neighborhood. A girl who is determined to prove the newcomer is the guilty party.

Eleven-year-old Luanna Porcello and best pal, Phoebe Chen, are having a great time at a birthday party, but their fun ends abruptly when Kelly Taylor raises the alarm over her missing goody bag. Kelly is convinced the treat has been stolen, and that Rachel Sorenson is the thieving culprit, but Rachel insists she's innocent. Intent on proving Rachel's guilt, Kelly takes her case to the Kids' Court.

Rachel is having a horrible summer. She's had to give up her home, her school, and her friends, and move half-way across the country to live with her grandmother. Rachel is desperate to make new friends, but when she attends a birthday party and is accused of stealing another girl's goody bag, she knows that will never happen. Doubtful she can get a fair trial but realizing this may be her only chance to clear her name, Rachel reluctantly agrees to allow the Kids' Court to handle the case.

Once again Luanna comes to the defense, but as she prepares Rachel's case, Luanna wonders, how do you defend someone you think might be guilty?

Come join Luanna and the Kids' Court as they delve into their third case and try to solve the mystery of the missing goody bag.
