Golgotha

An astronaut in exile, Saul Blackwell has discovered the key to eternal life—a salve—while living amongst a primitive people who worship him as a god. In order to refine this life-extending substance and purge it of its negative side-effects, Saul requires the high-tech lab facilities of the New Athens base—the very place from which he is in exile. First, however, Saul must lead his followers, the Kishna, in a desperate battle against a deadly enemy and hope against hope that he survives.
