Marianna Windemere travels all the way to San Francisco to ensure a simple dream: to live peacefully in Philadelphia with an amiable husband. But her fiance‚ Harold Van Wooten, is not as eager to return East as Marianna had anticipated. He tells her to leave San Francisco and go home -- alone. Meanwhile, the rakish Cole Taylor, a San Franciscan businessman, cites an old California custom -- claim jumping -- to excuse his pursuit of Marianna. But as Marianna learns to ask God what He wants of her, neither Harold nor Cole can stop her from following God's leading... wherever it may take her.
