About This Book

The once luxury passenger liner, USS President Coolidge, its hull blasted by exploding mines, sank beneath the waters off Espiritu Santo in October 1942. Deep within the now rotting hull are several small iron chests filled with gold coins: double eagles, eagles, half eagles and quarter eagles, all of them of rare vintages, and all supposed to be in mint condition.
Three young friends set sail from Townsville, Australia, to seek those eagles out, to dive, to cut and force their way deep into the bowels of that once mighty passenger liner. But are they alone? Their yacht, the Belle, has been tracked to the island by others determined to hijack the coins, regardless of the cost.
The Coolidge lay quiet beneath the waves, and at peace. But that peace would never again be the same.
