Ellen Allandale had begged her mother for a different kind of vacation. But traveling to England with her twin brother Carter to visit their Uncle Ruford had not been exactly what she had in mind! Just the thought of sitting around in a stuffy old English manor house, sipping tea and eating crumpets, made Ellen's skin crawl. Only when she learned that she was a direct descendant of Robin Hood's friend, Alan-a-Dale and his wife Alice de Beauforest, and that the Allandale family crest contained a golden arrow was Ellen's curiosity aroused.
