The author, John Garvin Clarke, is a layman cartographer, inventor, Mosaic geographer, and oceanographer. He developed a bathymetric study of the Red Sea floor that reveals the path Moses and the Israelites traveled as they departed from Egypt. Clarke is an authority on the forty-year period during which the people of Israel journeyed from Egypt to the Promised Land. Using Gulf War technology, Clarke has mapped more than thirty-eight camping sites of the Israelites.
