Giselle’s can’t tell you about trick or treating, or about airplane rides, or train trips, or museum days. She can’t tell you about parents either, or about brothers and sisters. But, she can tell you about grandfathers, innkeepers, lighthouses, fishermen, a pig named Frank, and an island called Almond Island. She can tell you how she found a special door to a special cave that led her to the ocean and an adventure of a lifetime, where Merfolk live in beautiful palaces and a special plant called Dagumint allows humans to breathe under the water. She can tell you about Ragumashumini, a merboy who knows how to find people, people like mothers. She can tell you about Blackshaw, an evil creature from the deep, who hates all merfolk and humans. She can also tell you about magic and friendship. So, join eight-year-old Giselle on a most amazing adventure, as she and her new friends face the beauty and the dangers of the ocean in order to find her lost mother and bring her home again.
