The last thing Maleah Morgan wants is "Mirror-Mirror," the beauty salon she inherits from her Aunt Mary. But under the terms of the will, Maleah has to keep it for six months -- and run it herself. This mean leaving her comfortable home and her comfortable college sweetheart, Danny Harper, and moving to a strange town. It means learning all about a profession she doesn't have even a casual interest in, since she's the "studious type," who never goes near a beauty parlor. Her No.1 problem, though, isn't hair-styling -- it's hair-stylist, Henri who resents the fact that Aunt Mary didn't name him manager. Then, there's Bert Leehoft, a stiff-necked young lawyer who is assigned to give Maleah business advice, but whose interest rapidly becomes quite personal. But the most surprising problem of all turns out to be Maleah herself, who, as she looks into the affairs of "Mirror-Mirror," seems to really see herself for the first time...with unexpected consequences.
