Gifted

The story takes place in a post-recession Atlanta, and Greer Matthews was a gifted student enrolled at Clark University who had just wrapped up a stressful third year of school. His mother was struggling to make ends meet back home in Chicago, so he had taken on a full-time job in addition to his studies to help her out. His family had faced hard times several times in the past, and he was determined not to let poverty strip them of everything. Unfortunately, Greer's relationship with his high school sweetheart Rosalyn Coleman ended on a sour note because of his lack of free time, and he got rejected for a summer internship at a local sports marketing firm that he was counting on. However, his life would take a turn for the better when he found a new love and got hired by the world's largest and most successful firm. Will Greer live happily ever after or is his good fortune too good to be true? Gifted is a coming-of-age story about a young man trying to find his way in the world with plenty of twists and turns that will leave readers guessing.
