Doris Wingate was surprised when her aunt Virginia Hadley, summoned her to Hadley Hall. The young girl had never been to the grand family mansion, for her late mother had been disowned and banished by Doris's dictatorial grandfather. Doris was even more surprised when she met two very attractive young men, Robert Dexter and Ted Stanhope, both involved with her aunt's activities, neither one quite what he seemed to be.
