About This Book

After serving twelve years for the accidental murder of a sheriff, the legendary gunfighter Tom Dix is released from prison. He is met by retired US Marshal Dan Shaw, who owes his life to Dix. His intention is that he and Dix should ride north to Abilene to start a new life with their old friend Wild Bill Hickok. But Hickok is in the midst of trouble. Dix is but a ghost of the gunfighter he was, but riding with Shaw and Hickok to restore law and order, he proves he has lost none of his old skills.
