About This Book

Gentleman Companion Three is the final book in the trilogy. The Gentleman Companion One and Two books stand alone with changing characters. Lawrence, the Gentleman Companion, is the pivotal character present through all three books.
The series begins with his diagnosis of HIV and in this final book; his disease has progressed to AIDS. As the Gentleman Companion, he grants wishes to his dates with his colleague, Angeline, the event director for the cruise ship. Together they review all applications, evolving individual wishes into extravagant dates. Unlike previous cruises, all of his dates are on the ship and not in the ports due to his decreased strength.
His physical changes require altered tuxedo pants for his swollen legs, pain monitoring by the ship's doctor, and his butler learning how to care for his personal clothing.
This cruise is the anniversary cruise for the ship. Actors wander the ship in pirate costumes; Lawrence wears a pirate costume while guests search for the hidden treasure chest. With the introduction of his parents who are invited guests on their first cruise, Lawrence's childhood is shared.
Eight dates each with life challenges meet Lawrence and find new direction when he approaches each of them with his compassion and understanding. By the end of this book, the reader will gain insight into others and embrace the value of acceptance in a world of differences.
