FRIEND OR FOE?

As Beth Terrell drove out to inspect the plot of land in the hills near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she immediately began to imagine the possibilities. If she was ever going to establish herself as a landscape architect, this huge resort was just the project that could do it. Images of colorful flowers, garden mazes, and hidden playgrounds were dancing through her mind when she encountered Nash Winchester, another architect who was bidding on the project.

Tall, dark, and irresistible, Nash was her chief rival, a legend in landscaping. He had designed everything from innovative amusement parks to exotic golf courses. Beth knew she would need a bold, creative approach to compete with the likes of Nash Winchester.

The deadline was set for presentations. The war was on. But every time Beth went out to research the project, she found Nash on the scene, one step ahead of her. She couldn't deny that sparks flew whenever he was near. She couldn't ignore the warm touch of his hand, or the intense green fire in his eyes.
