About This Book

Gap Hollow, the sequel to the book Serendipty Hollow ten years later, follows young Frank Arthur's quest to learn his father's identity and the ensuing consequences of the search that threatens his integrity and life. A fishing trip to Gap Run explodes into a confrontation between Frank Arthur, now an instructor at the local science college, and a methamphetamine operation in Boone County West Virginia. Frank initially views the encounter as bad luck, a distraction from his quest to discover his father's identity, until vengeful drug dealers threaten mayhem. Then Frank's effort to save an ancient grove of trees on the college property exposes a festering morass of corruption. A wealthy alumnus of the college offers to help save the grove. Frank knows the man has leveled many a forest across Appalachia amassing his fortune, and worries it's a Faustian bargain, unaware the elderly alumnus has a secret buried in the college's grove. The Gap Hollow plot is tense, complex, and gripping as Frank must decide how far he is willing to go to protect the people and the land he cares about from development and the vengeance of the drug dealers and unscrupulous agents.
