About This Book

An American agent posing as a free lance entrepreneur sells to a European crime lord plans for a Thorium reactor ostensibly stolen from the wreckage of a Russian transport. The crime lord, in turn, sells the plans that will transform the economy of an impoverished nation and alleviate tensions leading to war, but the gift-horse is not looked in the mouth, as the expression goes, but is transformed into a Trojan Horse engineered to bring down the most powerful nation in the world. A devious attack upon American soil would have worked as planned had the plans not fallen into systematic ruin running afoul of a pair of Midwestern teenagers Mark Kepler and Monica Scott, Mark and Monica are investigating the local county sheriff responsible for the deaths of their friend, Jon, and the sheriff's vivacious young daughter, Cassidy. In doing so, Mark and Monica uncover groups of young Asian slave girls passing unseen through town. They aid an escapee who proves to be a North Korean agent on a mission she will not disclose. Swords are crossed, and for both parties, a need to kill or be killed escalates the confrontation to lethal intensities. There is hell to pay for betrayal and deceit, and lessons to be learned for all about love and hate, the challenges of survival, and the inevitability of fate.
