How Far Would You Go To Prove You Were Grown-up?

Galen, a ten-year-old orphaned Philistine boy, wants nothing more than to be a man. Surely, if he becomes Goliath's shield bearer, he'll win the acceptance he desperately craves. But earning the giant's approval requires increasingly dangerous acts—like sneaking into the Israelite camp.

Now Galen must even harm an Israelite to prove himself. But how can he hurt his new Hebrew friend, Reuben, who has shown him nothing but kindness? What if this unseen God of his really is the True God? Will He deliver the puny Israelites from the fierce Philistines just as Reuben has said?
