Kat is recruited by an interplanetary trader of dubious reputation. She knows of her ability to influence others to make choices she prefers--and that the skill will cost her life if others find out. The encounters with aliens include those on her ship. As with Firefly, there is an element of humor throughout the book. A few instances are sure to bring a smile but it is not intended to be funny. It is more like a good book you cuddle up with on a rainy day and enjoy. Not too serious, not silly, with exotic worlds to explore and battles to win.
