Liam O'Donnell was only one of the untold thousands who were driven from their beloved Ireland by the great famine of the nineteenth century. From across the sea, America drew the Irish to her breast with a promise of freedom and prosperity. More often than not, grinding poverty and prejudice were the order of the day -- these that the children of Eire already knew so well.

Liam, a master fiddler sworn to guard the musical heritage of his homeland, made the nightmare crossing in steerage, suffering a lost love that would forever haunt his heart -- and lead him on an impassioned quest for revenge.
