Our options were removed, our minds and voices re-tooled. Our beliefs were stripped raw—backs bruised and abused. Our families were beaten bloody, cheated of freedom and law. Our minds were brainwashed, controlled by the government dollars; entire generations lost, consumed by drugs and foreigns. As the years went by it went from whips to pistols, entered an era where they tricked our own people to kill us. Jealousy is at an all time high, envy, hatred and vengeance. Gossip controls our daily thoughts, we're disrespecting our sisters, money controls our daily thoughts, our nickname is nigga. We didn't get poisoned alone, America bit us. Despite the things to overcome, we still climbed out trenches. We still became of great value, presidents and dentists. If we sold dope we did our best to flip it and quit it. We tried to jump rope out the traps before the ropes could trip us. Tried to do all that we could with all that we were given. Defied the odds with more odds, prevailed in the face of our killers. Our kidnappers work for us now, taking our orders. We went from slaves now we're Gods in the realm of importance. Athletes, lawyers, doctors, colored people of dominance. Who'd ever thought the ones kidnapped would be of this prominence.
