From Cooking to Chemistry

It is the Age of Enlightenment, the dawn of of the age of science. But for artisans like James Sadler, it is a life of poverty, uncertainty and toil. James is enthralled by the possibility of man-made flight and determines to raise himeself and become a gentleman philosopher. But this upstart ambition brings him in conflict with the ruthless Grey Men. James must somehow balance love and ambition, secure family life and the risky life of a pioneer. Then tragedy strikes and he is forced to make into agonising decisions, turning his world upside down and threatening the loss of all he has fought for. Continues in Part 2.
