About This Book

There are some pretty weird grown-ups living in Bailey City. But could the man selling cookies in the school cafeteria really be Frankenstein's monster? The Bailey School Kids are going to find out!

Liza, Eddie, and Melody crept down the gloomy hallway. Shadows loomed all around them and a strange creaking noise filled the air.

"That must be the sound of Frank's monster-making machine," Liza said. "Poor Howie!"

"Don't be silly," Melody answered. "I'm sure Howie is fine." But she hurried toward the noise.

"It's coming from the cafeteria," Eddie said.

"This is worse than I imagined," Liza whimpered. "Frank hasn't turned Howie into a monster. He's being made into monster mash!"
