Birds of a Feather

After fifteen years in rural Ohio, native Chicagoan Molly West is still considered an outsider, but as director of the local meals-on-wheels program, she's becoming more at home with the Appalachian folk and their ways. The murder of a local woman and the abduction of a prize rooster are on everybody's minds.

Molly, intrigued by the way of life--and now, death--here, starts digging into the mystery. The trail leads to the victim's own illegal doings and into the sport of cockfighting. However, the fowl deeds of the ring are minor compared to the blood sport of murder...and the deadly bet of a killer.
