Katherine has never been in the same place for longer than 6 months, for as far back as she can remember. Dwaine has been moved from foster home to foster home, never really fitting in with anyone. Katherine thinks she's a freak. Dwaine thinks he's a monster. But the two have something in common. They both have a dark checkered past that neither of them can really remember. And they both have paranormal secrets that, if anyone else knew about they would be killed for. However when the two meet, they set off a chain reaction of events that neither of them had anticipated. They especially didn't expect to wind up like this...
