They were like a happy family -- almost

For the first time in two years, Skye Cameron was beginning to feel whole again. She was settled and comfortable living at Bjorn Stefansson's country estate on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, caring for his five-year-old daughter, Karin.

Her heart had gone out to the little girl the moment she'd found her stranded on the ice. And when her tall uncompromising father asked for Skye's assistance, she couldn't say no.
