A lovely Shoshone Indian woman, Red Moon is proud of her heritage. She's self-sufficient and happy living in a rustic cabin in the mountains outside of La Plata. When a young woman is forced to flee the small mining town, Red Moon comes to her aid, taking her in and teaching her how to survive in the rough mountains.Amos Bailey runs the mining office in La Plata. He's a big, strong man who, since losing his wife, has stayed away from any involvement with women. When a freak storm hits the mountain pass making it difficult for the women to make their way home, Amos willingly steps in to help even though he's conflicted by the emotions the beautiful Shoshone woman raise in him.They experience difficulties traveling through the storm-laden pass, but when three strangers arrive, those challenges are minor compared to the danger they face when their peaceful existence is threatened.
