About This Book

For a moment they looked at each other.

Then Rex said: "I am afraid of telling you what is in my heart." Because his voice was very soft and gentle Quentella felt herself tremble. "You need not... be afraid."

She was not sure whether she took a step towards him or that his arm drew her near. She only knew she was close against him her heart throbbing wildly.

"I touched your lips once in gratitude," Rex said in a deep voice. "Now I want to kiss you for another reason."

But he did not kiss her. Instead he ran his fingers along the outline of her chin, downwards to her neck. It was a sensation she had never known tingling like flames through her body.

"You are so beautiful," he exclaimed.

Then he looked into her eyes and his lips feel on hers. As they kissed it was impossible to deny the passion, the urgency, the all consuming desire. They were reunited, but as the flames leapt higher and higher it was impossible to think, to speak, only to feel.
