Fireworks and Mr. July

Cierra Perriloux loved the hustle and bustle of New York City except in the summer time. The buildings kept in the heat and blocked the breeze until it became stifling. The hospital emergency room she worked in was always packed, especially if there was a heatwave and power outage at the same time. Everyone seemed to be short-tempered, and violent injuries rose. The only thing she had to look forward to was the flirtatious back and forth that she had with Dr. Steven Kendrick. It kept her temperature as hot as the air outside and a smile on her face in the midst of the chaotic ER.

He invited her out for the Fourth of July weekend, and Cierra had no problem saying yes. After all the steamy conversations, it was high time they got down to making their own…fireworks.
