Fire and Ice

While painting a mural in his building, Carmen meets Adrian. He is gorgeous, wealthy, and intrigued by Carmen who is different from any woman he has ever known. He recognizes that it is the human side of Carmen that attracts him; he feels young and alive again. Carmen can't help loving Adrian, though she is frightened of his darker side. He is second in command of the largest, most powerful secret vampire society ever. As Carmen reluctantly immerses herself into Adrian's world, she discovers she has abilities supposedly impossible for a human. She is told of the prophecies about the coming of vampire slayers, and the council is left trying to decide whether Carmen's abilities make her a friend or a foe. Should they welcome her or destroy her before it is too late? In the end, will Carmen defeat them all, die trying, or will she finally embrace Adrian's world to become the heroine?
