It's the end of the year, and for rock band 7's Mistress, it's the end of an era. As the New Year closes in, the members of the band have decisions to make. For lead guitarist Les "Pauly" Paulson, that means staying in Nashville writing and playing music, and spending his life with his best friend, Sloane, the band's bass player. But Sloane's ideas don't mesh with Pauly's, leaving him feeling adrift.

Sloane Vargus has been in love with his best friend and bandmate, Pauly, for years. With Christmas over, Sloane is looking forward to spending a quiet New Years with Pauly, but Pauly has different plans. When he asks Pauly to go on the road, Pauly pushes him away, so Sloane runs back to California.

Can two men who've spent the last fifteen years together find a way to live apart? Or will they find a way to make music together both on stage and off?
