Finding Home

I grab my clean clothes from the back seat and walk across the parking lot to the men's restroom. It's filthy, and the floor is wet. But I'm used to it now because we've been living here for almost two months. These are the words of Doyle Kemp, a homeless tenth grader who lives in a car with his mom. He feels hopeless, alone, and afraid. Follow him in his quest to succeed in school and build a better life for himself.At Finding Forward Books, we publish easy-to-read novels about real issues faced by teens. They have realistic stories about teens overcoming challenges in their lives. Our goal is for students to improve their reading skills, develop positive attitudes, and increase their success in school.
