Running from a mistake made as an impetuous youth, Uriasz Wojciechowski abandoned his native Poland to live in America. Another hasty decision landed him in a marriage of convenience. After fifteen years, Uri had accepted his fate; and, despite his separation from his wife, had long ago ruled out the possibility of a real love. He had successfully denied his need for a deeper relationship until the day Kyra Fairchild moved into the apartment above him and unwittingly stole his heart. When Kyra first met Uri, she thought he was pushy and overbearing. He was almost her complete opposite. Yet, every time she turned around, Uri was more and more a part of her life. Before long, Kyra's quirky neighbor became her best friend.
