About This Book

Owner of the Stonecypher Funeral Home, Sam Doyle lost his wife to cancer. He paid the monthly insurance premiums, but the fine print explained the insurance company only paid for the first two weeks of her hospital stay, and zero of the treatments she needed to survive. She didn't survive, and after six weeks in the hospital, he might not survive the bills. There had to be a way out for an honest, hard working professional funeral home director. Oh yeah, the pre-paid, pre-need funeral arrangement escrow account. All the money he needed was at his fingertips. The Mob decides to help him out. The Mob laundered money through the bank where the pre-need account was held. From the bank president down to Sam Doyle's favorite teller, all were on the Mob's payroll. Someone's been watching Sam withdraw the money at a record pace. They wanted a taste of the cash. They put the squeeze on him via the use of his crematorium. Sam Doyle thought he'd outsmart the Mob, by hitting up a loan shark from a different state and replacing the pre-need funds he had embezzled. The Mob didn't see the humor in his move, neither did the out of state loan shark.
