Fiddler and McCan

Devoted to health, temperance, and an atmosphere unpolluted by gambling, %Widen City is a new utopian mining community in the Colorado mountains. A gambling man and drifter, Luke Mccan rides into town in the company of one-eared adventurer who calls himself Fiddler Smith. Fiddler's just been appointed marshal of Ike Waklen's little paradise--a job he figures--to be sweet and trouble-free--and he's willing to share the bounty and make McCan, his deputy. McCan doesn't plan on staying long in a town tailor-made for boredom, but he accepts Fiddler's offer. Both men turn out to be wrong about Walden City: by the time they leave. the town is in ashes and a vengeance-crazed Sioux is hot on Fiddler's trail, drawing McCan into a deadly feud that can only he satisfied by blood....
