The Amalfi coast in Italy with its delightful villages, beaches and sunshine hides a darker secret. When Marsha and Milly arrive for a friend's anniversary celebration, they hardly expect to find themselves embroiled in the search for a serial killer - one who just happens to prefer fat women as his victims. But taking on the role of sleuth is not that easy when you have the interference of a handsome police inspector, a beautiful psychiatrist and a flint-eyed forensic anthropologist. A comedy murder mystery that spoofs the formula thriller and keeps you intrigued and laughing all the way through.
~ Fiona Loch turned to me at the door. ‘Look, I know this must be very traumatic for you. Please feel free to contact me if you need to.’ She gave me her card.
I looked at it, wondering why I would need to contact a forensic anthropologist. ‘You live here? In Amalfi?’
‘Who wouldn’t?’
‘Then we’ll no doubt see you around.’
‘You really should take Inspector Russo’s advice.’
This merely strengthened my resolve. ‘We’re not leaving just yet.’
She looked unhappy. ‘You do understand you could be in danger?’
This sent a shiver down my spine. No one had been this forthright before. But I knew where my loyalties lay.
‘We’ll be all right,’ I said. ‘We’re British.’ ~
