Alexis had big dreams all her life and worked hard to make them happen. A dream job at NASA, a loving husband, and a beautiful baby boy. Then one day, several years later after raising a perfectly normal family, with no warning or reason, her husband, Jay, of twelve years commits suicide. Her son, Colton, goes into denial and blames his mother; Alexis is forced to bury herself in her work. Shortly after, NASA allows her to be one of the crew members aboard the space shuttle.
