Family Bible

In 1632 Robert Barker abandoned a successful London printing business after his presses issued an edition of the Bible uring the faithful to "go forth and commit adultery."

He brought his family to the New World, to a quiet Puritan homestead on the edge of Duxbury, Massachusetts. There they began to seek the peace and prosperity they yearned for.

But the curse of the "Bastard Bible" would haunt the Barker family for generations, visiting the sins of the fathers upon the sons and daughters, casting doubt on the very foundations of their lives, bringing grave misfortune, until the power of love finally triumphed.

...and so it is writ in the Book of Life.
