About This Book

When Adam McCleet quit his Portland PD job, he counted on an uncomplicated future. That is, until family friend Max Faverman asks him to drive him up to an old Indian reservation where his son Buddy, an enterprising real estate developer and well-intentioned huckster extraordinaire, is hatching his latest scam. Seems Buddy has bought the Indian land from the last surviving member of the tribe and formed an independent nation called...Bob.
Among other things, Bob includes the Thunderbird casino and the Bank of Buddy, which issues its own currency. To the eager suckers who've joined on it's a rare investment opportunity; to Adam, it's madness. Especially when the heavily patrolled kingdom of fringe wingnuts slaps him with a sheriff's badge and suggests he investigate a growing trend in the new nation...murder.
