The past is behind her...or so Candice Drakeforth wants to believe. She's left her acting career and established a new life - as a member of a mountain resort's ski patrol. When she meets Jeremy Braunfeld, Candice is convinced that she has also found a new love.

But then her ex-fiance, Edwardo, reenters her life, stirring up old feelings of humiliation, anger, and shame. As Edwardo tries to destroy Candice's relationship with Jeremy, she fears that Jeremy may give up on her.
