When the roommates head for two weeks of sun and fun at Daytona Beach, Roni's ready. She flirts, dances, drinks, and takes any kind of dare from morning to midnight. When Terry, Stacy, and Sam try to hold her back, Roni ditches her friends for a new crowd. She even invents a new personality for herself, borrowing parts from her roommates lives.

Back pm the Hawthorne campus, Roni keeps right on partying, and her friends let her know they think she's headed for trouble. Crushed by their disapproval and by her sinking grades, Roni goes on a wild binge that ends when she totals Stacy's Mercedes. Is it too late for anyone to help her now?
