Sage Montgomery has no desire for a man in her life. Divorced after twelve years of marriage, she's focused on raising her two daughters and her job; her love life not even on the stove, let alone placed on the backburner. When she reluctantly agrees to a blind date, set up by her best friend, she is thrown off guard when the fireman she enjoyed a dinner with doesn't move on to someone a little more willing to pursue a relationship. Robert Parkins has had his fun in the sun when it comes to one-night-stands; he's looking for something a bit more substantial, and Sage has drawn his attention despite her insistence that he look elsewhere for love. After meeting her daughters, and gaining their support from the get-go, he's determined to change Sage's mind about their future as a couple. When Sage's oldest daughter captures the image of the same strange man in several of her digital photographs-someone Robert believes he recognizes-he's determined to keep the woman he's falling for safe. There's a serial killer in town, leaving women's tortured bodies for anyone to find, and the similarities between the victims and Sage are uncanny. With the only clues to the killer a handful of Polaroid pictures left behind with each of the bodies, the police are at a loss. One thing's for sure, Sage's daughter may have caught a serial killer on film, and Sage herself may very well be his next victim.
