Jo Ann Brady meets Major Chuck Brooks in a cemetery while they're both there to place flowers on their spouses' graves. An immediate attraction between them results in a one-night stand - or so Jo Ann thinks. Chuck can't reveal he's on a mission to Columbia to assist the government with a notorious drug cartel. He's wounded, but returns to Jo Ann a month later and their romance blooms. She introduces Chuck to Doctor Sid Bleu, the Chief of Surgeons where she works as a nurse. Sid meets Lieutenant Maria O'Shea, a helicopter pilot, and the two couples became friends. Jo Ann and Sid are faced with a dilemma: Chuck and Maria are Special Forces and are routinely sent around the world on dangerous missions, leaving Jo Ann and Sid behind. Faced with constant danger and long absences, can the two couples find the futures they want?
