Exile Island

John the Apostle had been with Jesus all the years of His ministry. He witnessed more miracles than he could count, saw more displays of power by his master, and experienced more than he could fathom. Now, as the last remaining member of the Lord’s Apostles, he is banished by the Romans to the prison island of Patmos. It is while there he hears the voice of God revealing to him alone what is to come at the end times. While ministering to his Roman guards, John has time to reflect on his years in Galilee, the long journey away from persecutions with Mary, Jesus’ mother. As Bishop of Ephesus he visits the seven churches the Lord will speak to in the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Exile Island becomes for Jesus’ beloved disciple, another opportunity to serve.
