In 21st-century America, ecological responsibility had spread like wildfire, cheeseburgers were in short supply, and citizens were recycling, reusing, end doing without–all to reverse Earth's decline. But out beyond the recently repaired atmosphere, an extraterrestrial megacorporation called the Black Hole Travel Agency had secret designs on the new, improved Earth.

Then Lucky Junknowitz, former theme-park actor and current directionless misfit, was abducted by Black Hole in a case of mistaken identity. Traveling from world to world, first as a prisoner and then as a fugitive, Lucky uncovered the multiplanetary company's plans for Earth. Somehow, he had to warn his unsuspecting Planet–but Earth was a restricted-access world, and Lucky's ticket was never meant to be round trip...
