Escaping The Night

When sixteen year old Fox Moran is roused abruptly by his father in the middle of the night, he knows the only possible reason is a demon. What he didn't expect was for the apocalypse to have started. As he and his father prepare to escape their home town and the Ascension, they are attacked by a particular demon that seems to only have eyes for Fox. To make things worse, some of their family friends are missing. Fox and his father must help their friends, escape to their cabin in the mountains, and defeat a rogue demon before it's too late.

Escaping the Night is a young adult short story that is part of the Dark Ascension: A Demon Anthology, Volume II collection. It is also a story set in the same universe as the Dark Ascension novel series (Land of No Angels and Land of No Mortals).
