Escape from Hapta

When his wife Irene experiences a harrowing taxi ride with a deranged driver. Matthew Szarwak conceives a plot to use him to kill her and cash in on her life insurance policy. The plot succeeds, and the daughter Patricia, on arriving home, takes her mother's death very hard, despite others' attempts to console her. Patricia and two friends venture to another world where they lead an enslaved people out of bondage to receive their law. While there, she comforts a young girl who suffered a similar loss. The story ends with Patricia still unaware of her father's involvement in the murder.
