      About This Book

      Bilingual in English and Norwegian. Children read the pictures, my illustrations try to convey the story with clever images. Erik's imagined voyage is framed by elaborate borders and the reality is shown at the base of the illustrations. The hand painted illustrations are rich, ornate and colorful. The river he is sailing his viking ship on is the Fenway in Boston, near statue of Leif Erikson. I hope by including the Norwegian text it will help some readers learn Norwegian.
