End of Track

Robert Burton was a soldier of fortune. He had been a cavalry officer in the confederate army, and, more recently, had hired himself out to fight with the troops of Mexico's Emperor Maximilian.

But he was tired of being on the losing side. Wanting to win something, for himself, he headed for a new and different place: the fast-growing Utah territory.

Before his train even reached its first stop, he was fighting for his life amid the flaming ruins of a wrecked train, surrounded by screaming Indian savages.
